Private data of 800,000 medical doctors stolen from Blue Cross/Blue Shield

The personal and business information of 800,000 medical doctors — nearly every practicing M.D. in the nation — is at risk after a laptop computer containing the doctors' names, addresses, social security numbers and more was stolen from a a Blue Cross/Blue Shield employee's car in Chicago in October, 2009, the Chicago Tribune reported.
